Martin Carter
Martin has always had a keen interest in motorsport and began driving
a Grasstrack racing Mini in 1989. After two years on the Grasstrack
scene, he met Shaun and teamed up with him as his co-driver in the
Lada Challenge.
 This
partnership continued as the pair entered the Peugeot Challenge, with
two years of successful campaigning in this popular series.
When Shaun decided to go track racing, Martin continued his co-driving
with a number of other drivers in Ford Cosworths and rear wheel drive
Ford Escorts.
Martin rejoined Shaun as co-driver in the Peugeot 205 GTi when Shaun
returned to rallying in 1995 and was 2nd overall co-driver in the
1998 English Rally Championship. In 1999 he won top honours in the
Ford Ka Rally Championship.
This successful partership continued in 2000 and 2001, but in 2002
Martin had to relinquish his co-driving role due to work uncertainty,
but has carried on since then as a regular member of the service crew.
